CIIR

GB GUMMI Ref:	GBK
ASTM Classification:	CIIR
FULL FORM OF RM/Rubber	Derivative of butyl rubber which has been reacted with chlorine in a continuous process
Benefits	Low gas permeability Excellent ozone resistance Good steam resistance Good fire resistance.
Limitations	Poor resistance to oils and non-polar solvents .
Service Temperature °C	-50 to 120°C
Applications / Products	Inner tyre tubes, breathing apparatus for defence and fire services, Dampers.

HNBR

GB GUMMI Ref:	GBH
ASTM Classification:	HNBR
FULL FORM OF RM/Rubber	Hydrogenated (≥ 90% saturation) version of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, which shows improved stability and physical properties compared to standard NBR
Benefits	Good resistance to oils and non-polar solvents High tensile strength Good ozone and weathering resistance Good abrasion resistance Excellent heat resistance.
Limitations	Decreased low temperature flexibility compared to NBR Poor steam resistance.

FVMQ

FULL FORM OF RM/Rubber	Copolymer of fluorovinyl and methyl siloxane
Benefits	Excellent resistance to high and low temperatures Excellent ozone resistance Excellent compression set resistance Good resistance to oils and most non-polar solvents.
Limitations	Poor tensile strength and abrasion resistance.

VMQ

ECO

AEM

NBR-PVC

Benefits	Good resistance to oils. Improved ozone resistance compared to NBR.
Limitations	Poor weathering resistance. Poor steam resistance.

Applications / Products	Oil resistant seals that may be exposed to daylight or other forms of radiation.

ACM

Benefits	Excellent resistance to petroleum fuel and oil Good heat resistance Good ozone resistance Resists flex cracking.
Limitations	Moderate water resistance.

EPDM
