The GB Gummi Story

Our History

1982

GB Rubber Plant – 1

GB Rubber began its journey by supplying components to Bajaj Auto Ltd., proudly contributing to the iconic "Hamara Bajaj" Chetak Range Scooter. This marked the start of a legacy in the rubber manufacturing industry.

1989

OEM Supply Started

GB Rubber added a significant milestone by becoming a supplier to India’s most beloved brand, TATA Motors. This marked the beginning of our journey as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) supplier.

1992

GB Rubber Plant – 2

To cater to a growing customer base, including renowned names like Gabriel and Bosch, GB Rubber inaugurated its second manufacturing plant, reinforcing our commitment to quality and capacity.

2005

Expanding Horizons Worldwide

GB Rubber adapted to new technology and became a TS16949:2005 organization, which opened global doors for us and gave us the opportunity to cater to new customers like FIAT, INA, etc.

2007

GB Rubber Plant - 3

A dedicated manufacturing plant for the Sealing Division and Suspension Parts was established as GB Rubber’s third facility. During this period, we also commenced exports to global leaders like Schaeffler, Trelleborg, and Putzmeister.

2009

Entry In Critical Applications Rubber Parts

With an innovative approach to production and process optimization, GB Rubber successfully began supplying to Keihin Fie India (presently known as Hitachi Astemo Fie) — a Japanese leader in fuel injection technology.

2013

Advancing Technology through Automation

Continuing our journey as a technology-driven organization, GB Rubber implemented automated bonding application processes for all metal-bonded products, enhancing precision and efficiency.

2015

SQ Mark

GB Rubber was awarded the prestigious SQ Mark certification from Hyundai India, solidifying our position as a trusted supplier. During this year, we also expanded our exports to Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.

2018

GB Gummi LLP

With expertise in rubber compounding, GB rubber did a reverse integration and started a new company in the group as GB Gummi LLP - to cater compounding needs of rubber manufacturer locally and globally.

2019

VDA 6.3

VDA 6.3 certifaction done by Tristone Flowtech India & VolksWagen India for India 2.0 Project

2020

Online Traceability

Implemented barcode scanning and traceability at every stage, from raw material receiving to final product dispatch.

2021

First Approval

Developed and approved the first formulation for extrusion hoses.

2022

SQ Mark by KIA

GB Gummi is certified with SQ Mark Certificate by KIA Motors India.

2023

Export

Export of rubber compound started to Middle East, Europe and USA.

2024

FULL FORM OF RM/Rubber	Hydrogenated (≥ 90% saturation) version of acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, which shows improved stability and physical properties compared to standard NBR
Benefits	Good resistance to oils and non-polar solvents High tensile strength Good ozone and weathering resistance Good abrasion resistance Excellent heat resistance.
Limitations	Decreased low temperature flexibility compared to NBR Poor steam resistance.

Limitations	Poor tensile strength and abrasion resistance.
